Leonidas Christopoulos

Leonidas Christopoulos took over as Chief Executive Officer of EKKOMED-Creative Greece in September 2024 while from 2023 to 2024 he held the position of President and CEO of EKOME.

He was the Secretary General of Digital Governance and Simplification of Procedures of the Ministry of Digital Governance, from July 2019 to July 2023, and had EKOME under his supervision. During this period, significant improvements were made to the cash rebate scheme for audiovisual works in Greece, while the Tax Relief incentive was reactivated, and the Fund of Guaranteeing Loan for Companies Producing Audiovisual Work was established, in collaboration with the Development Bank.

Moreover, he was responsible for planning and implementing Greece’s digital strategy through the Digital Transformation Bible, the strategy for Artificial Intelligence and digital skills, the new Operational Program “Digital Transformation” of the NSRF 2021-2027, the upgrading of KEP and the policy for the simplification and digitalization of procedures through Gov.gr and the National Register of Mitos Procedures.

He has worked in the Ministries of Development, Finance, Education and Religious Affairs, Environment and Energy and Interior, while in the period 2016-2019 he was an advisor to the President of the Official Opposition on issues of State, Public Administration and Education.

He holds a BSc. in Political and International Studies from Panteion University of Political and Social Studies, Athens, and an M.A. in International Political Economy from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom, where he studied Political Economy of Mass Media. He is, also, a graduate of the National School of Public Administration and Local Government of Greece.

Konstantinos Vrettos is an Economist (Mphil, Phd) of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and graduate of the National School of Public Administration.

Since 2023 he holds the position of Director of the Special Office of the Secretary General of Fiscal Policy (General Accounting Office of the State) of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, while in period 2019-2023 he was Director of the Special Office of the Secretary General of Social Insurance of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.

At the same time, he was a Member of the Board of Directors of the Mariners Retirement Fund (NAT) for the years 2022-2023. As a public administrator he has served in the Ministries of Development and Investments, Labor and Social Security and National Economy and Finance. At the same time, he was a member of the Project Management Group of the 3^rd OECD Toolbox to identify regulatory obstacles to competition in specific sectors of the Greek economy.

In the past he had worked as a Researcher at the University of Cambridge (Centre for International Business and Management, Cambridge Judge Business School), at the Bank of Greece and at ELIAMEP, as a scientific advisor at EOMEXX SA., as a lecturer at Quenn’s College of the University of Cambridge and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and as an economist in the private sector.

In recent years, he has also been actively involved in the field of new technologies and social networks, as he is the co-founder and co-manager of the @In Athens Instagram Hub, which attempts to promote the tourism of Athens, while collaborating as a visitor Lecturer with the Department of Communication and Media of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

Argyris Peroulakis is a Mechanical Engineer specializing in Telematics and Organization from ULB Brussels. Ηe has worked for 30 years as an executive of the European Commission (1989-2019).

He has many years of experience in the domain of New Information Technologies and Communication strategy, Innovation, Regional Development programs, Human Resource development and reforms in Public Administration as well as the field of Communication serving in corresponding positions of the European Commission.

He was deputy head of the Delegation of the European Commission in Greece during the period 2010-2017. In the last four years he served initially as a member and for three years as a President of the Board of the National Documentation Center – Electronic Content (2019-2023).
