The film about the destruction of Smyrna, which was transferred from the theatre to the cinema under the direction of Grigoris Karantinakis, was shot in Lesvos, Chios, Athens, Piraeus and Faliro and through the story of a family unfolded an entire historical period of modern Greece. The film was screened in the United Kingdom, Ireland, the European Parliament, the United States and at a special screening at MOMA in New York.
