Chania Film Festival
EKOME’s institutional cooperation with the Chania Film Festival, one of the most important institutions for the promotion of audiovisual education in our country, was launched in 2020 and includes the support of the Festival’s actions for the promotion of film education in formal and non-formal education. Within the framework of the Festival, EKOME organises presentations of the educational programmes and implements experiential workshops for students and teachers. It also awards the “Walter Lassaly” Educational Creation Prize and commemorative diplomas to all schools that have completed films within the framework of the Festival.

Olympia International Film Festival for Children & Young People
The Olympia Film Festival for Children and Youth People is the oldest and largest festival of youth film production and education in Greece and one of the most renowned in Europe. EKOME supports the Festival and also organizes presentations of its educational activities and film workshops for teachers during the Festival. From 2022 onwards, it cooperates closely with the European Meeting of Youth Audiovisual Creation Camera Zizanio, participating in the coordination and training of Children’s Jury Committees that award prizes to films by children and young people from Greece, Europe and all over the world.

AnimaSyros - International Animation Festival
EKOME supports the organisation of the internationally acclaimed Animasyros festival since 2018. In 2021, EKOME undertook the scientific supervision of the Festival’s workshops during the year, while in 2023 it implemented for the first time an educational workshop for children in cooperation with the KEPEA Syros-Ermoupolis, based on award-winning short films from the Takorama International Animation Festival.

Beyond Borders - International Documentary Festival of Castellorizo
EKOME supports from 2019 the organization of the International Documentary Festival of Castellorizo “Beyond Borders”, which is a cultural action with international and extroverted character on the geopolitically strategic border island of Greece (organized by the Hellenic Foundation for Historical Studies, with the support of the South Aegean Region, the Hellenic Parliament, ERT, etc.).
Drama International Short Film Festival
EKOME supports the Drama International Short Film Festival, the great celebration of short films in which Greek filmmakers present their works and network with representatives of the international film community. In the educational field, EKOME participates in the Pitching Lab of the Festival and contributes to the programme of the parallel events of the Festival. EKOME collaborates with the Drama Festival and in the framework of the International Student Short Film Competition “Cinema… did you read?”

Peloponnisos International Documentary Festival
EKOME supported and collaborated with the Peloponnisos International Documentary Film Festival in 2021 and 2022. In the context of the 7th edition of the Festival, EKOME presented its initiative “Documentaries for All: Accessible Documentary Screenings for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Blind”, screening two student documentary films that are universally accessible, while in the 8th Festival, participating in the educational parallel actions, it organized the workshop “Documentary in Education”.

Takorama International Animation Film Festival
EKOME has been collaborating since 2020 with the Takorama International Animation Film Festival, the online animated short film festival for children, teachers and parents, as its exclusive partner in Greece and its sponsor. The festival is organised by the French organisation Films Pour Enfants under the auspices of UNESCO and offers freely accessible animated films accompanied by educational activities. EKOME participates in the jury of the selection of the films, in the adaptation and enrichment of the pedagogical material with references to literary, visual arts and cinematographic works specially adapted for the Greek audience as well as in the information of the educational community and the general public. EKOME has collected and offers on its website the pedagogical material in Greek for the films of Takorama 2022 and 2023.
